Angry Night Sights

I had a Sig before I joined the Army way back when and now since I am back on the mainland I have another the SP2022. A really nice all around pistol but the one I bought for a song did not come with night sights and I want them lol. So I hit the internet but through all the looking, searching and emailing companies (who don't respond back) cant seem to find definitively a set of night sights that fit the pistol. Any help on this issue is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

SIG offers a custom service to get the new sights put on, but it's a tad pricey.

You can also try ordering the sights from MEPROLIGHT or Trijicon and have a gunsmith install them for you. Brownells probably offers them.

I'd check first to make sure that this wouldn't get rid of your warranty, and to see what size you need.

Check http://www.topgunsupply.com/gun-sights/ they have in their descriptins the intended pistol/caliber information for making the proper selection.

i bought my 226 way back before night sights really were starting to catch on.
i got some low mount Novak Trijicons for my 1911.
I had looked at a bunch of sights with different configurations, such as different color (front rear), or big dot in front and line for rear, etc...
I think the three green Trijicons are the way to go.

does anyone know who provides the Tritium element for SigLite?
I wonder how long they're supposed to be good for.

Good advice

OP,

Glad to see you got some night sights. LeRI posted up an option that I almost followed, but I ordered a set from Top Gun Supply like you.

If you plan on doing the change yourself, be sure the sight tool fits your slide. I have an LE trade in P229 that had the sights loc-tited on. My universal sight pusher would not move the sights so I decided to purchase the Sig specific tool. The tool I ordered specifically noted that it would not fit on Sig Pro nor on some of the newer P series.

@cruisemissle - If you check the Sig website, you should see a service where they will go over your weapon and replace springs and the night sights. I do not remember the cost, but I remember some discussion where most thought the service was a good value.

Thumbs up

Go to the Sig site and look through services. The sights seem expensive but there is a lot more done for the $99 plus shipping. Having Sig go through the gun while installing the sights, to me, is a great value
