Hello all from Missouri.

I've had the Smith and wesson m&p 9, and the springfield xd40. I just got my ccw and drive a limousine. What is your preferred carry choice and/opinion on the p938.
I'm sure this has been discussed plenty before. But hey, everyone like to give opinions.

Yes, they come with one 6 round magazine. I too own a Nightmare, bought it in July. 1300+ rounds through it of a wide variety of ammo, no issues, other than some +P+ I tried squirting through it. Great handgun, I highly recommend. Really shoots like a lot bigger gun, recoil is surprisingly light. Mine is EDC with a 6 round and carry a 7 round as a reload, normally appendix IWB carry in a Concealment Solutions ASP, but will also pocket carry in a Mika Pocket Holster. I typically drive 4+ hours per day and the appendix works just fine for me.

I have a 938 as a carry. I assume driving a limo you're wearing a jacket most of the time. If so, why not go with something slightly larger? I just added a C3 to my line-up for just those kind of occasions.

Yes always a jacket. However it's going to be an all the time carry. Limo driving is a side job, but forgot to say why I brought that up. I'm also interested in hearing people preferred carry locations and holster makers. Guess I really just need to get the gun and see what fits me best. I just like hearing opinions.

My sig P938 is one of my best purchases I have ever done in my life! I put over 500 rounds through this gun and no issues. What makes it one of my best purchases is that it is so indiscreet and super concealable. Currently I got transferred to FL from VA due to a new job. I had to go to training for a month here in Pensacola FL. Carried this little piece while at the job and that my CCW license is recognized in FL was a plus. Had to travel to seedy parts of town and carried the P938 and the whole time no one new I was carrying, even with my tank top!. Well after the training I was transferred to Tampa Bay. Unfortunately I was not able to sell my house in VA until recently. So for a month I had to shack up in a cheap studio in a bad part of town with a roommate. This whole time I was carrying the P938 religiously and he had no clue. Didn't clean it or lube it this whole time. Covered in lint I took it out and put 100 rounds through it, no issues. So its a deep concealable weapon and also very reliable. Its been my body guard for two months.

For a man. the 7 round extended mag is almost a must. for decent grip.

I started with buying my wife a 238. She loved it and then saw a 938 SAS version and I bought that for her and she liked it much better than the 238. I shot it and wound up buying the same model for myself.

They havee eaten any ammo I've put through them. For a small pistol the recoil is easily handled as shown by my wife's enthusiasm for this pistol.

Only thing I could wish for is that it was SA/DA like all my other Sigs, but you can't have everything.

Yes Ybor city is pretty nice. Now I'll tell you I don't use a holster. Now I know I'll get flamed sprayed for this but I use a clip draw in condition one. Did this with my bersa and with this pistol it had a decocker however the P938 has ambi safeties. No issues. I forgot to mention that I went back to VA on a four day weekend and appendix carried with a clip draw (this is how I usually carry). I forgot that I had it, so in my experience its safe and quick to access. With this set up I wear tank tops, and with my cell phone next to my P938 it disappears.

The 938 is an amazing gun. Surprisingly accurate. My wife carries hers in the Sticky holster. Great setup and amazingly comfortable. I have worn it a couple of times. Just remember this is a single action and you will need to carry it condition 1 or plan to rack it.

I had an Extreme in the first year, and traded it for an EMP-40.
I thought I was done with little guns, and was looking at a 220.
Went to a gun show and there was a 938 SAS at a real good price. They had an Equinox for 10.00 less, and I always liked Equinox. The SAS had better sights for carry and it matches the two tone of my other Sigs.
It followed me home.
I like front pocket carry with a Sticky pocket holster. The 938 fits that pocket really well.
I just happened to be taking a vacation day tomorrow for some appointments. I have a morning window to put 200 downrange and check it out.

My lady (who loves .45s) has a 938, which is a nifty pistol and pretty accurate. Reminds me of my Colt Mustang Pocketlite (.380).
But when I was shopping for a 9 mm pocket gun about three weeks ago, I by-passed the 938 and got a Kimber Solo, which seems like a more user-friendly carry gun.
The Solo is much smoother from almost every aspect, fits better in my hand, is more pleasing to my eye and has fewer protrusions to catch on clothing. I also prefer the hammerless design for a pocket pistol.
Having shot both the 938 and the Solo, I'd say accuracy is about the same. For me, the groups get loose at 10 yards with the 2.5 inch Solo. But everything is still well inside the paper ring.
The Solo may kick a bit more.
Love Sigs, but in the end I felt more comfortable with the Solo. I never carry my little Colt cocked and locked in my pocket and realized I would never do that with the 938.
This is my perspective.
I have concluded the Solo is as perfect as a "mouse" gun gets.

Just a question
Same as the 938 the Solo is a SA trigger with a safety, meant to be carried cocked and locked.
There is no visible scary hammer, but the concept is similar other than striker fire.
Will you carry it with one in the pipe ?

Hello from Kentucky, Personally I dont own a 938 however i own a P238 (.380 version of the same gun, slightly smaller with very few other differences) and i love it. Tight grouping. easy disassembly for cleaning, smooth firing, slide is smooth and easy to operate, absolutly excellent for an everyday carry. NOTE: if you purchase the gun new be sure to get it with the night sights they are woth the money and work excellently, the contrast sights are impossible to see after dark. The night sight version would be the difference in life or death in the event you ever need to use the firearm for self defense in a low light circumstance. Mine has the Sig Light night sights, and it is a chemical glow that will glow at all times even when there is no other light present.... They are a MUST HAVE in any low light circumstance.

I do not carry the P238 everyday. I use my P238 as a back up firearm and usually carry it in a leather in the pocket holster. It fits completly inside the pocket of my everyday Wrangler jeans (back pocket). I usually carry a round in the chamber with the hammer forward so that i would only have to cock the hammer and not slide the slide, this allows for an extra round in the firearm above what the magazine holds. without the hammer being cocked.

I carry my SP 2022 .40 caliber for my everyday firearm. Whether Concealed or in plain view since Kentucky Law allows for Open carry WITHOUT a CCDW i often open carry even with having my permit simply because it is more comfortable when positioned external of a belt than with an IWB holster.

but i always keep a concealed holster in my vehicle in case i choose to conceal while away from home.

That is a pretty dangerous way to carry ........the firing pin block is only active with the safety ON
