Thoughts on 226 SAO vs DA/SA
I have attended the Sig Sauer Academy on 2 occasions and it is an incredible experience. Great facility , instructors ..and the " Sig Store " is an experience in itself.
It took awhile to grasp the fact that all the instructors I dealt with shoot SAO pistols.....I am a bit surprised that with the DA/SA concept being the mainstay of the Sig theory that none were used for instruction.....It seems to somewhat contradict the selling points of the majority of the pistols sold.......I own both and am trying to master...lol.. the DA/SA concept...any thoughts ????

A S/A trigger is much better, at least I think so. Of course only the first shot of each mag is D/A and the SRT is very nice at the range.
I just think it is all about the S/A trigger.

if you're comfortable with sao, cocked locked then you'll be happy.
i only have da/sa sigs, same platform, same manual of arms.
da can take some getting used to but with practice can be mastered.
no1 teaches da/sa, seems like a poor training curriculum with all the da/sa sigs in the current lineup.

For competition or for those who are highly trained, SA rules. For EDC I don't want to sweat manipulating a manual safety under stress and when the adrenaline is pumping & fine motor control goes out the window, I want my first shot to be deliberate and not a stress-induced ND.
For me it's either SA/DA or DAO for EDC (YMMV).
