You say project, what did it begin as? I have a similar blued engraved slide that came on a rail-less frame with E2 grips.

I like the nickel controls!

I went with the sig wood grips with the medallion on mine. They look good but I've been tempted by NIL grips-Osage has a few pair on ebay for a pretty reasonable price. I've heard good things about the Nil's.

This is what mine looks like-its a pic from the web but you get the idea. I got mine on armslist as a CPO and it came with E2 grips. I picked up these medallion grips online but I'm still tempted by the NIL grips. I really like the blued slide and this is my first p226 without a rail and I'm a huge fan.
