I can only load the 15th round by hand, not using the uplula. There simply is not enough space for the last round and the tab. I can get the 15th round in by pushing without the uplula.

I'll give that a try. Thanks.

Yes...many of my 229 and 226 mags need the last round loaded without the uplula.

I had an issue with one of my 3 mags supplied with my new Legion.

As I remember, I couldn't get past 12 rounds loaded. I finally disassembled the mag and found it had an extra plastic follower. Now I have a spare follower.

And when you do, put the magazine floorplate on a hard surface and push the last round in hard and fast. Otherwise you might not make it.

That's what I do.

First time I've encountered the problem. Just my P229-1 9mm phosphate-coated, 15-round, non-Mec-Gar mags.

I just confirmed this for myself. Not doubting at all what you said, just wanted to see if this problem was with all magazines. Cannot get the 15th round in with the Uplula on my P229-1 magazines but it will go in by hand. Tried it on several magazines with the same result, I can load 15 but not with the Upula. All of my magazines are the USA mags, I suspect Made in Italy are going to be nearly impossible to find. Never had this problem with any other magazines.
