New P226 MK25

I just got this today. I had my LGS try to order it last week but it seems people were busy, something about a show in Vegas

Taking it to the range tonight for some fun!

As per the usual rule here's proof.

Great choice, I'm a total rookie by far, but, it's the most accurate shooting gun I own, next to the FiveSeveN

It was everything I thought it would be. Sure I could have gotten a 9mm for maybe half the price, but sometimes you really do get what you pay for. I need a lot more practice with it of course, especially being somewhat new to pistols.

Tonight I went through 150 rounds of a UMC bulk pack and the only problem I had was about the 5th mag or so it didn't lock open on the last round.

I also got this for a range bag for pistols and I love it so far:

What gr ammunition?
I have found in a new 9mm pistols(G19) and indeed in my MK25, 124 gr is required for 100% functioning. We no longer use any 115 gr 9mm.-Dick

You probably know this but the slide issue could be your thumb hitting the slide release on recoil. I owned a P226 prior to buying my MK25. I had been shooting 1911's prior to buying the 226. I learned to keep my thumb down very quickly and my problems went away…

FWIW, my MK25 is running 100% with 115's. We will see if I run into problems in the future.

115gr

I've finished off that pack and some more boxes of 115gr, no more problems at all (400rds total so far). Well, except that I want to go shoot it all the time.

Also as mentioned here I'll check my grip. Faulty user is always a possibility.
