I prefer the newer one piece stainless to the less durable weaker rust prone welded slides. The one piece holds up better with +P and +P+ ammo and it won,r rust. Plus the round count is many times more with the one piece stainless slides. As for balance and faster repeat shots the one piece stainless is the way to go. I like the balance and 1oz more weight. I can,t tell the difference holding the two side x side ,but when I shoot I feel the improvement with the one piece slide. No wonder the Navy Special warfare center wanted the one piece stainless slide. And allso Sig did for the hotter 357 sig,40sw, and contract Navy Sigs to handle hotter special ammo. Older does not mean better and if it did we would be driving Ford Model T,s.
