Why not just buy the black one and send in the upper slide to sig to have it bead/sand blasted?

Don't quote me on this, but I've heard two tone Sig's are only sold outside the US..

Here is a link for the Diamond Plate. I don't know anything about this vendor and am not recommending them. I simply found that they say that they have it in stock.

SIG Sauer E2022 9mm Black Diamond Plate at BuyTelescopes.com

They have the silver one also. If you go into the specifications on the Sig website and get the item numbers and then search on those, you get better results.

When Sig sand blast the slides do they disassemble the firing pin mechanisms and remove the sights before they do the blasting? I am also interested in having this done to mine.

Looking at my buddy's gun, I do believe they disassemble everything down to the firing pin. They remove as much as possible on the outer and inner slide.

Here's a picture of how it looks after it's done compared to a standard finish sp2022. I thought about doing mine too, but I like the one solid color look.

The last 3 pictures were taken off another site to show sample of the inner slide after it's been blasted. If the owner of these pictures would like me to remove them please let me know and I'll gladly remove them..

Thanks Slixx. Now that I look at the photos more and more I think I like the solid black also. The 2022 looks better black on black IMO, the two tone look doesn't look as good on it as other Sig models.
