Hey guys!

So i just picked up my 2022 today..and when i got home and dry fired it..i seem to notice that when the hammer strikes it seems to "bounce"..I guess another way for me to put it is ...

1. cock the hammer back
2. Pull the trigger
3. Hammer strikes
4. Hammer bounces
5. Hammer stays in upright position.

This is my first Sig so i dont know if this is normal..but looking at my pops HK..his doesnt do the "bounce" that happens with my sig..

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Mine does too. I believe that it is designed to do so that way it doesn't rest on the firing pin.

First time I saw that, I thought I had broken the gun. It was funny as I was at the range with my first Sig P220. Was looking the gun over, dry firing it prior to actual shooting and saw the hammer bounce and thought "Oh Boy, I got a lemon!" Loaded it up and fired it, of course and all went well. Never looked back ever since.
