Sig P938

What is the lastest information on the Sig P938. When will it start shipping?
I have never owned a Sig, but the P938 will be my first. I was looking for a small 9mm for concealed carry. The Kimber Solo was at the top of my list, but could not find one to purchase. Then I saw information about the P938 and I was totally won over. The Solo is now off my list and I can't wait to purchase the P938.

I was hot for the Solo too but couldn't find one either. Then there is the often heard issue of Kimber CS (but I have no stories on this).
After some of the user reports started hitting the forums how cheaper range practice ammo is often problematic, and it is picky which ammo it functions well with, I cooled on it too.

As of late June, my local Sportsman's Warehouse said they're expecting several within a few weeks. Starting price $680. The clerk there couldn't tell me what versions they'd be getting.

I'm thinking of putting my name on a wishlist at Bud's for the rosewood handle version ($720) and just wait for the email.

psexton - what problems are you having?

Sig P938

Took my new 938 to the range the other day and was shocked a bit by DNF's. I pulled the trigger- nothing, Pulled back the hammer again several times with the same result. Removed the bullet, and looked at it. It has a little "dent" in the primer. I then put that shell into my Baretta 92, and it fired with no problem. This happened several times. In fact all mis-fires then did fire in the Baretta.

Is this simply a break-in issue, and it will get better, or do I need to send the gun back to Sig? The one thing you want in a carry gun is the assurance that it will do its work when you pull thetrigger- or you will not carry it.

Thoughts?

New Member & new P938

I have had my P938 (Extreme) for about a month now. I was dissapointed on my first range trip, had many FTE's and a few FTF's.
Second trip with 6 different manufacturers ammo. Started out the same way then I figured it out, . My weak hand thumb was riding on the slide, once I corrected that everything went pretty much OK.

Did have the same problem as Manzana but only with the cheap 115gr Monarch ammo.
In all I have 375 rds through the gun, all FMJ.
CCI Blazer 115gr
CCI Blazer 124gr
Remington 115gr
Remington 124gr
Fiocci 115gr

Range trip tomorrow with some JHP's, Gold Dots +P, Remington +P in 124gr.
