LE/Military Individual Officer Program is what you need. Some link in there has a list of dealers for the state you are living in. Texas uses GT distributors for the individual officer program and that is who I purchased mine from for the discounted price.

Yes it is the same program. Firefighters, police, military, active and retired all use the individual officer program (IOP). I am active duty military and I actually purchased mine from a police supply website with the IOP pricing.

Thanks. Two questions if you dont mind: first, what did the package come with?
secondly, if you did it over again, would you still use the program or buy used?

again, Thanks

My package (p229) came with night sights and 3 magazines. It vary well could be different for different models.

The second question is totally personal decision. If you are really wanting a Sig but not wanting to pay the prices, even with the discount, then go used. I have several colleagues who have purchased their used p229's from summit gun broker . com for dirt cheap and have had no complaints. I was actually looking into purchasing from there but when I went to purchase mine, he ran out. So no I am not totally opposed to used by any means, but I would prefer new if I had a large expendable income.

I sat and waited for 6 weeks for a response on the TAC OPS 9, then bought a used 226.

About 3 weeks after THAT I got a response.

Yeah; e-mails left, phone messages left with my local IOP Distributor, it was pretty rediculous. Sent all the credential info. requirements they asked for: everything.

Go through my ID to look at past posts pertaining to that "experience".

Good luck with that.
