Hi! I am a complete and utter firearm rookie with under 2000rounds fired in my lifetime, ever!
I am excited to make my first gun purchase as I have just both completed my pistol training course and turned 20! (yay!)
First I should begins with my 'specification' *heheh*
I've always wanted a full sized service pistol (9mm) that I could trust for a lifetime that I am proud to carry it,
and like a girl who's about to lose her virginity; I wanted my first to be something special *shy* *blush*
Now, since I'm in a Sig forum people are definitely going to suggest on buying one which is what I initially going to.
However, from where I live, the firearm tax is just ridiculous that any pistol is on the same price range as the Sig Sauer p226.
This leaves me to be overwhelmed with massive pile of pistol to choose from!
My instructor suggested a Glock 17,but even mister hickok45 couldn't convince me; it's a 'hate-at-first-sight' for some reason
So I went to do some digging and after weeks of research I manage to narrowed down my candidates
Sig p226 elite SAO: this very model would suit all my desire but I have yet to see many people reviewing it.
the standard model shoots excellent but I have an OCD with SAO trigger or just trigger that consistence
(also I feel that I don't deserve the Sig yet)
M&P 9 : Having shot only a magazine with it, I feel that it fits just right in my little girl-sized hands. that's a good thing right? right?
Steyr L9-A1 : I was trained with an M9 variant, first shot I've fired was with this baby.
Naturally I wanted a gun that I am used to,
but the lack of popularity in my town means expensive maintenance/repair/spare parts which is something I wanted to avoid.
So to all the experts could you please help this little boy reaches his adulthood just by pointing out anything,
criticize it or heck tell me anything about these fine pistols!
I thanked you in advance for helping me take my first daunting step and sorry for the long post ( I know I'am very picky)
