LOL If I was ever confronted by a zombie or zombies I think I would want something a little more than a .380, like my M4 rifle with some good ol' XM855's. (and a video camera, because no one would believe me that I had to kill a zombie)
I think it is to be more of a novelty collectors item than anything else.
I seen that Ruger has one also.

Yeah, Mossberg has a line of them, too.

Forget that slide, I want the GRIPS!

Never thought it possible, but now there's a sig that I don't want.

I don't see anything on Sigs website about this. As far as I can tell it is only on other websites. So does that mean someone else is going to make this aftermarket maybe? Just wondering because Sig is not shy about announcing new products long before they hit the street and they dont seem to have said anything about this anywhere.

It's most likely a non-catalog item.

At the bottom of the page, it states they won't ship until August.

There's a lot of 'distributor exclusives' that aren't listed on SIG's website. Not to mention all of the pictures that need to be updated on various models.

Not as bad as the video game looking tool of a gun Taurus put out, but it is sad and embarrassing. God please don't let Colt follow suit.

I never thought I'd say this about a Sig, but that's hideous. I'm not sure I get the whole Zombie craze anyway. What's next?..the Sig Twilight series?

I believe they are going to be coming out with a whole Zombie line. Not to long ago I saw a Sig zombie 1911. SIG Sauer 1911 Zombie Edition - Limited Edition [1911-45-ZOM] - $995.00 : Mississippi Auto Arms, Inc ::, Your Source for Saiga, AK47, AR15, Tromix, Glock, and SKS firearms and accessories

They are utilizing Hogue's new live of zombie grips that they released at Shot. I wish they would quit working on crap like this and make me an all black set of G10 piranhas.

Fads make profit, too.

It just doesn't seem like the kind of thing a serious firearms maker would do, though, does it?

I clicked the link that Smith3466 provided and this is what it said:
"ETA JULY 2012 - PLEASE EMAIL US FOR WAITING LIST.*
The legendary 1911 design has been brought into the 21st century with the refinement today’s shooters demand and Zombie Hunters needs. The SIG SAUER® 1911 Zombie Limited run proves that close tolerances equal complete reliability and need not be incompatible in an off-the-shelf pistol. SIG SAUER has introduced clean, distinct lines that American shooters have embraced, while retaining the crisp trigger pull, classic ergonomics, and exceptional accuracy they expect."

What struck me about that was this line "today’s shooters demand and Zombie Hunters needs.".

Zombie Hunters have needs?...who knew

We must realize that some of todays new shooters learned how to shoot on their X Box, Wii or play station.

The new Zombie series is USB compatible. LOL!
