Hey guys, looking for my first sig. Im wondering if there is any real advantage with the longer barrels on the tactical models. I understand the slight gain in velocity, but is that worth the extra money? Im looking for a pistol thay i can shoot for fun, but might be wanting to look into getting into some compotition shooting.
Longer barreled pistols usually provide a longer sight radius which, in terms of accuracy, ain't a bad thing! But in your particular instance, I think the added barrel length is beyond the front sight post so may not be a factor.
Thats what i waw noticing. The 5 inch barrels seem to be on the same length slides, just longer and threaded. I do however like the p226 x-five, bit its a little out of my price range. Unless i can find one used...
