Time to get a 9mm: P226 or P229?

Hi guys, I have a 2022 in .40 that i love. Now i'm thinking in getting another sig in 9mm

I'm looking at the p229 models. I was going to get the equinox but I want the sig in 9mm. So i need to decide between getting a p229 Extreme or getting a p226 Combat

Any help?

I vote .226.

You already have a compact sized handgun. Either way I feel your going to be happy with it.

I have a 229 .357 and am bout to get a 226 9mm. I'm a big guy so I'll carry the .357. The barrel on the 226 is just a half inch longer. Both can be carried. I agree. Can't go wrong with either.

I second the 226 Tac Ops motion. It has a great feel to it, especially if you have larger hands. One
f the main reasons I got mine.

Personally I have a 229 E2. But with that being said, both are winners. I think the 229 is my favorite, but the 226 is more 'classic'. If you have ANY intentions on carrying, go with the 229, it's saves you a few ounces. The 226 always looks beautiful though (well, so does the 229 to be honest

P226. The P226 is a little larger than the P229, so it will have a different feel.

New Guy here from Utah. I own a sig 229 9mm. So I would vote 226, either way you are getting a great gun

Why not one of each???? That way you have the best of both worlds!

I have a P226 Elite Dark in 40 S&W and a P229 SCT in 9mm! I love them both! Both are fun to shoot and both run like sewing machines!
I know you won't go wrong with either!

Good luck!

And let us see pic's of what you decide!
