25 yards "Quick comparison"- X5 L1, CZ75, P320C

As the title states, I did a Quick comparison basically from the box at yes, 25 yards at German Target 8.5"x11" sheet with 6.5" circle with Triangle center. Absolutely NO FTF, FTE etc etc, all good!

I literally grabbed the X5 L1 .40, the CZ 75 PCR 9mm, and Sig P320C 9mm out of the box with several mags and let her rip at 25 yards! Some flyers high and low at first then brought into focus with these aging eyes!

I use site picture 3, i tended to pull left a hair but was pleased to see holes in paper at 25 yrds, held two hands, free hand and kneeling right knee, but never longer than 4 secs between shots, many within 1-2 secs.
The yellow and black Sig German contrasting target was excellent to see, and was hung on a cedar tree limb at top "x" of target, little breeze moving paper slightly and sunny day!

Sorry i was in a hurry but figured better than nothing on the terms I was given....lol

All in all and NO surprise the X5 L1 .40 was a dream to shoot (like my M11-A1 and P227 but better of course, longer, heavier) and i just wanted to whale out hundreds into that target but not as much ammo and mags yet. Smooth and slightly crisp trigger and very easy quick follow up shots with very little take up...this baby was made to rumble. love it!!!

The CZ 75 PCR 9mm also very pleasing to shoot at DA and SA and Decocker action as I call it..lol was spot on too (But not my M11-A1 and P227 they are better). Very fun to shoot as I already knew on this. But wanted to go long at 25 yards with it, it was easy. Fun to shoot. And the std sights were also fined tuned and smaller than Night sites which was easier further out. I am debating if I will add the NS I have to it, as I really liked the stock system they way it is!
Good shooter and small, nice weight and feel to it.

Lastly the Sig Glock Striker P320C! Hummm, terrible target out of the box with this guy, BUT they just have the sights off to far left!! I was aiming Bullseye site pic 3 and this baby was way off left edge of paper!! The hits on paper were me moving sight pic to the right of bullseye and raising and lowering site ti see WTH I or IT was doing, hence the straight line up and down left.
Now with that said i shot several mags like CZ but many off paper and was last target of them, i started with X5 then CZ then P320C. Those sites are off in defense of the weapon out of the box!
The trigger did feel nice and easy to engage and wanted to shoot more rounds, but was
Very disappointed and stopped, wasting 9 in the dirt. Easy to load and throw mags and fun to shoot. The only way it would of shot better and I would of had mire fun was if i walked up and put muzzle to paper and lit it on fire! All in all i think it is still in the running for fun, but right now shes good for a hammer and nails...lol. Once I get more free time I'll run her again, AND I believe all will be fine, just fluke rear sight!!! She cycles well and little flip and recoil. I do slide racking the slide on her too and droppin mags out with such a positive release, good fitment. I promise I'll sweetin her up a little and get her into shape soon enought!

See pics below for fun quick range report.... Sorry not as formal...I had fun anyway!! Cheers! More to come....

The X5 models are a dream to shoot. The most fun you can have with your clothes on.

Again like before stated, i think she is perfectly fine! Wraps around that SRT trigger finger just snug as a bug in a rug! Long pull DA and longer than SRT SA, but does feels nice with a snug weight pull to it guessing 8lbs? Don't remember? But trigger not gritty either! Just machined smooth with crisp break, longer pull than DA/SA SRT Sigs with noticeable weight pull DA but before ya know it she sails smoothly into action...thats the DA lower shots on target...
I will say that others with FAT fingers may get hugged a little to much and possibly pinch, but i have large hands and 6'2" and 215 lbs but my fingers are not FAT.....just wanted others to know. Oh and that even with FAT fingers the trigger is thin like SRT not std Sig trigger. Nice weapon!! And i would not hesitate to carry at all!!! Excellent workmanship and quality like my Sigs!

Thanks for the report tcbkkb! It nice to know that my most favorite pistol is also a favorite pistol of many others :-) I do not have a CZ to compare to my X5 but i did similar comparison between my X5 Classic/X5 L1 and my Dan Wesson 1911 PM9 (which is also a very nice shooter) and I got better group with the X5's even though I learned how to shoot with 1911s....My brother is a hard-core fan of 1911's now call me a traitor because I keep mentioning about Sig X5 every time we talk about pistols. I guess the X5 ergonomics just work better for me :-)

Nice report. Interesting that you took a SAO, DA/SA and Striker Fired out together.

I took out my SR1911 CMD, SP2022 and M&P 9 (full size) once and shot in this order. I was all over the place with my M&P which I usually shoot a bit better than that day. I wrote it off to the great differences in triggers and having shot several hundred rounds before I switched over.

My next trip will have one of my PPQs (5" and 4") and my 320 Carry for a bit of comparison.

This is further proof just how much of a bargain the CZ's are. Great shooting that I'm sure was loads of fun!

Exactly! The only way to have MORE fun is to take your clothes off and shoot the X5.
