Well, I have cohabitated with my new little friend for awhile, and I'm thinking the grip might be a tad big for me (other gun is a Beretta Px4 SC) but I can still shoot, although it has taken awhile to get use to it (100+ temps have made range days just plain unenjoyable to the point that it's a waste of ammo) My sister has a 229 with the nifty E2 grip. I do like that, just not sure I want to go thru the whole conversion. Plus I do like the wood grips. So, do I have to get over my love of the wood grips and save it for baseball bats or does Hogue (or anyone else) make slimmer wood? The black alum isn't bad, but not as nice. |

I've got a Sig P226 .40s&w with the E2 grips. I've got fairly big hands and wasn't sure how the E2 grips would feel as they are smaller than the grips on many of my other guns. But, I really like the E2. A very natural feel and point of aim. For a person with smaller hands, I can't think of a better grip.

if they start to rattle, coming loose be aware that all that holds them on are snaps into the threaded inserts, where the conventional grips are secured with screws.

Thanks - I'm just not really wanting to spend the extra cash on reconfiguring for the E2 grips, (can be better spent on ammo and an extra mag) I'm partial to being able to screw on different grips. Sigh...time to go back and look at Hogue and see what they have to offer. I don't need a super slim grip, as I'm use to the double stack fattie, just maybe a tad smaller... |
