| P220 Carry Duo Tone
While browsing on Bud's Guns, I noticed a P220 Carry Duo Tone with a 3.5" barrel. I can't find any information about it on the SIG website, even in the discontinued products, and a search online brings up some for sale, but no reviews. Anyone here know anything about this pistol? |

Do a search on youtube. There are several guys there with some good and bad info/reviews on the 220 Carry. Over all its a good weapon for carry, IMO. One of these perhaps? http://www.sigsauer.com/CatalogProdu...-two-tone.aspx http://www.sigsauer.com/CatalogProdu...-tone-sao.aspx I own a 2010 220 Carry Elite Dark and it shoots well, no problems other than a trigger that feels like gravel. I've pulled the hammer and sear to send off for polishing so we'll see after it gets back. |

IMO, I think Buds Guns entered the wrong info. Email or call them and find out. Nice looking weapon either way. |

I'm going to call SIG on Monday, and ask them. Just out of plain curiosity...I am planning on buying a P229 right now. Unless, of course, that SIG tells me this gun is extremely rare...then I might have to buy it.

I contacted SIG this morning, and they didn't have any information on the pistol, or a 3.5" barrel P220. They said it could have been a special run, but they didn't have any records on it. If it is indeed a special run, it might be worth buying...except that parts for the short slide (recoil spring, guide rod, barrel itself) might be very hard to find. |

If you search for the model # 220R3-45-RT-GSF (P220 carry elite reverse two-tone), you will find a couple other places selling this particular gun. Some say it is a 3.5" barrel while others list it as 3.9". The only other info that I found was that it is a German made frame (not sure if all P220's are or not).

I got a reply from Bud's, basically saying that they just copy the material from the manufacturer's information, and they can't go check guns in the warehouse to verify specs. At this point, I'm just going to assume it is a typo error, and forget about it. |

| If you like it, and got the $ then go for it. It should serve you well.

It's just as well...if it really did have a 3.5" barrel, and the pistol is indeed that rare, it might be hard to get replacement parts for it (springs, guide rods, etc) if not downright impossible!

bud's has typos on other items too & they say it's a canned picture & what you receive may not be the same.

I bought one from Bud's. I'll tell you about it in a couple of weeks. Barrel is 3.9 but I am curious about the trigger. Which one is it? The gun is stamped Elite. Does that mean it has an SRT trigger? (Shorter pull?). Will P220 mags and grips fit it?? Elite's come with night sights this one doesn't have them. Anxious to get it. Bud's said due to the Christmas rush they are behind in shipping. Makes sense to me.
