For new, you can try palmetto state armory or top gun supply. Even cheaperthandirt.com has good prices on certain models. There are a few others that I'm sure someone else will chime in on soon.
You have to spend the time to shop on line. 85% of the time buds is the cheapest, but not always. Half to fun of getting the pistol is getting the best price. I never used gunbrokeer or the other auction sites.
i couldn't drop-in, as they were in nj & i'm in az, everything done by email, no phone access, dealing with a secretary who filled orders & relayed questions to owner.
sucks man, gunsamerica is like craigslist i guess. Not a sure thing on what you get and who you do business with. You hope the people you do business with will do so honorably or cease to opporate. I have debated using them to sell a gun or two.
I won a Kimber stainless 1911 target II for &725 on Gunsamerica auction thru a dealer in IL smooth transaction saved almost $500!
I never thought I wouldn't be out bid, good things DO happen.
My favorite is grabagun.com. Firearms shipping is $5.99, no hidden fees, and an awesome new layaway plan where you send them 4 checks plus a $15 non refundable fee. First one is 33% of the gun the the rest is divided by 3, but they ship it once the first check clears. Then just pay it off before 90 days. Prices are the lowest I've seen.
I bought my Sig 2022 .40 on palmettostatearmory.com for 349.00 out the door with free shipping. Only downside it took a week longer to ship than what they said.
I've used gunsamerica twice and bought from dealers there. No issues and they both shipped fast. I currently have a P220 on layaway at Buds. This site used to have several Sig CPOs at real good prices. I posted the link at glocktalk about a month ago and now he's running on the lite side. Yatin Patel | 01 FFL/SOT satisfying customers one firearm at a time.
seems to me that every city has that gun shop with good prices. most will have a website. here i'm blessed to have 2, st nicks and shooters. neither web site has recent inventory, but if you want i can window shop for you and relay prices and phone numbers. not saying they can/will beat the online guys but you never know
most local shops i deal with don't have any of what i've purchased on their websites.
one of the most recent, a lnib 229 stainless, 4 mecgars, original blue labeled case, dated by sig feb '06.
Bought my sp2022 from pamettostatearmory.com for 349 and glock g23 from realdeal guns.com for 509 both had free shipping and I found an FFL dealer a few blocks away who charged me $10 so made out like a bandit.
