p226 Mec-Gar 20 round vs Sig Factory SCT 20 round magazines

So I have a choice of buying the P226 Sig Factory SCT 20 round mags for 39.00 or the Mec-Gar AFC 20 round mags for 49.00. Are the Mec-Gar worth the extra 10.00?

Mec-gar makes a nice Mag for sure, if you can afford it, do it.

They are Sig Factory and from my understanding they use Check-Mate .

Now but before that, MecGar and before that SiG Sauer or some other German maker...if it is a difference between Checkmate or MecGar...sadly...based on what has been reported here I would pick MecGar...based on my own experience...MecGar (SiG branded) is 100% whereas my Checkmate mags (SiGARMS included 1911 pattern) had weak 8 round springs...

Yea, Mecgar has a bit smoother feel about them.

The SIG SCT mags could very well be Mec-Gars. I have a quite a few SCT mags and they're all Mec-Gars. Anyway, when in doubt, I'd go with the ones you know are Mec-Gars. They're very reliable.

Thanks for the feedback. The SCT mags are made in USA so I don't think that they are mecgar as mecgar is made in Italy.

Do the Mec-Gar 20rd mags fit flush in the 226?

I have the factory SIG 20rd mag and it fits flush/functions great!
