How was your experience? I want to buy from there but they have shockingly horrible reviews on resellerratings.com.
Also, has anyone ever used their 0% financing credit card option? If so, how did you like it? Seems like a nice way to pay off a purchase over a period of time.
I have purchased a goodly amount from Bud's (see my post under "new members"). I have zero complaints and would not hesitate to buy from Bud's in the future.
Infact, I just picked up my lateest last evening. A used SIG P220 ST. I was a little concerned as it was the first used gun I bought from Bud's. (I did buy a LE trade in P226 but it had been refurbed by SIG and came with a full warranty from SIG). I had nothing to be concerned about with the P220 ST. Yes, the gun was pretty dirty and I spent a couple hours cleaning it but it was as described, or better ! I liken that to buying a used car that has not been detailed by the dealer. I would rather pay a cheaper price and do the detaiing myself. IMO, Buds could have cleaned it up but they would have had to charge more for it then...I am extremely pleased with every purchase I have made with Bud's !
My advice, don't hesitate to buy there...shop with confidence.
I've purchased numerous guns from buds with no issues. in fact, i went to them for my Sig around Christmas time last year. i imagine most of the complaints are due to shipping time maybe. they clearly have their shipping policy online and I've received all of firearms within the time stated. yes you do have to wait but to me, their competitive pricing is worth it.
I've purchased from them 3 times now. First time was smooth and I had my gun in maybe a week. 2nd time was back when they were overloaded with sales. Their system kept showing my order never shipped and it was ridiculous trying to get a hold of someone because of how busy they were. Then i ended up finding out my ****** of a gun dealer had my gun sitting there for about a week and a half. I think what happened is buds shipped the gun, but the shipping department forgot to mark it as shipped, so the sales people had no clue. For my third time, the transaction was smooth and no issues. I called 2 times before the purchase and it went straight to someone who was very helpful. I think the second purchase was just a minor hiccup due to them being overloaded. I will continue to do business with them. A few things to note: Do not let your ffl fill out the paperwork/background check, before you inspect the gun because buds states they will only take it back if you have not received the transfer. I read on thehighroad.org where a guy accepted a DAO sig and ordered the SA/DA and didnt notice until it was too late and buds wouldnt help him out. Finally, pay attention to the product number on their site, ignore everything else. they have issues with updating their product info. they say to go by the manufacturers product number and to look up that number at the manufacturers site and to go by that if there is a contradiction.
Good experience here also-have purchased eight firearms from them-everything was as described and arrived undamaged and within 3 or 4 days of my ACH clearing-(usually a five business day waiting period-the upside is that you get the 3% discount-a significant savings on firearms approaching or exceeding $1000.00) I also didn't have to pay my state's (SD) 6% sales tax-ie $90.00 saved. VIP membership (if anticipating more than one transaction) is also an option to look at.
I purchased a handgun from Bud's and had a smooth transaction with no hitches. Took longer than I had hoped to receive the weapon, but worth it with the good price deal I got. I also set up a new receiving FFL with them that wasn't on their list, and electronic pay transfer - both were easily accomplished with no problems. I would certainly buy from Bud's again.
I've ordered from three or four times this last time they were alot slower on getting my gun out.I did bid on a gun on their bidgunner which i dont reccomend,i ended up spending $75 more than i could of just bought it from them for,but that gun was in my hands in two days.
I bought a Walther PPQ from Jet Guns which is part of Buds and the purchase went fast and smooth.
However BEWARE that the pisture they show of a gun may not always be correct and they state that in their descriptions. For instance they may show a pistol with a decocker that may be a DA only/DAK pistol.
So just be sure that you know what you are purchasing reading the description carefully, try to cross reference any model number to manufacturers website, and/or call them to clarify if you are not sure. Also be sure to examine the pistol at your FFL BEFORE signing the paperwork and taking ownership.
I used Bud's for my S&W 340 M&P revolver.
I would use them again, if they had what I was looking for, and could top the price of my local FFL (by a decent amount)
++AA for Buds Gun Shop. Purchase several firearms from them. One was a Sig Mosquito which came in a cracked plastic Sig case. I sent them a note that the case was cracked and received another Sig case in days.
Bud's is the only online store I've ever bought any guns from. Their prices are good (even considering the extra markup when using a credit card), the selection is excellent, they have always shipped my orders immediately and they have preferred FFLs nearby who accept the shipments without my having to make any separate arrangements.
I purchased my P938 extreme from Buds....no problems with Bud's......Took the gun to the range loaded it up..and pulled the trigger....click click..click...changed ammo..click click click..changed ammo...bang, click click bang, fte.....the weapon has been back at Sig for nearly a month now..they finally said they are shipping it tomorrow..will be over a month since I last saw it....great looking gun..great concept..but I need one that goes bang bang every time I pull the trigger...hopefully the problems are fixed......
I just hate their 3% cc fee. I've been buying from Shooters Plus lately. They have similar prices to Bud's with free shipping and no cc fee. Buds probably has a bigger selection though.
I have purchased several guns from Bud's; the first was a Sig 250 SC with night sights. Great prices and very good to buy from.
I also have used their "6 months no interest" program which is actually a credit card from GE Financial. Paid it off early but it helped me get an ATI Titan in SS which is a great gun for the money.
Only issue I ever had was their sales clerk did not know if a gun came with 1 or 2 magazines - I had to wait to take delivery to actually find out.
Bought an X-Five from them. No issues, did take a while to ship though.
