Well I'm super stoked for the opportunity to buy an affordable p210 regardless of where it was made.. I'd be happy to buy serial number 1 for full MSRP assuming it is the same or less than the german ones.

I've not been interested in a P210 either.

But I want several of the X5s and X6s!!
I hope we get some really nice ones. P226s and P220s! But I think it will be sometime in 2017 before we see any of those.

I've been wanting 5" long-slide conversion kits with fixed combat night sights for the P226 in all three calibers, and for the P220 in .45ACP.

I also want the very rare P220 X6. I would love to see the accuracy from that thing!

I hope that the U.S. made X-series guns will use the same parts designs as the German-made guns. Would be nice for all the folks who have the German-mad X-series guns to be able to get parts for a reasonable price. Same for the U.S. P210.

That is not my hand, it's actually a Sig operator as per the user's IG profile.

Hey, what did the 210 ever do to them...

Frankly, I fear that they will foul up the pistol....

Maybe it will be all right by the time the "Rainbow Brite Unicorn Edition" comes out.

Let's face facts....

Sig has not exactly been on the ball lately.

Evidence you say....

P-938....

SHORT... LONG...SHORT... LONG... Ahhh whatever extractors.

Mosquito's....

Gen 2 of the MPX... (you know the new pistol that just got released maybe 90 days ago)

MPX's that got advertised and sold as being able to convert caliber.... BUT CAN'T.

Awww Heck, there's a bunch of failures... who can possibly remember them all.

The P938 was an exception with problems mostly due to the material used to manufacture the MSH.

The Mosquito??? That was a p.o.s. built by GSG with SIG's name put on it. GSG is ****. SIG never should have sold that gun. Don't judge SIG's quality by something that they didn't build.

Length of extractor? Not an issue. It is in most peoples' head and not a real factor.

It will be interesting to see, both in price, and after they hit the market how the quality is. I believe they are capable of keeping up with the mastershop quality, if the bean counters decide to will be the real question. It helps that the P210 is a very known/proven platform for SIG, because frankly the QC of some of their new stuff like the MPX series.....is disconcerting to say the least.

I'm not a P210 expert by any means, only handled them at SHOT, but looking at the photo it appears they've made significant changes to the safety it appears to have a P226 style safety. If the Legend MSRP of $2428 is in the ballpark that would put the street price I'd guess around $2000.

The P210 has never done anything for me, I can appreciate the design and it feels very good in the hand, and the trigger is outstanding, but I will be interested to see how the first year of the new ones goes.

Dear Sig USA
Charge more if you have to, and please make one that puts the Swiss ones to shame. Show the world that you could make great stuff domestically, it does not cost that much more to build ones that are "Better than the Swiss", nor will you save much to become "the crappy American made ones". Imagine what either outcome will do to your brand, and choose wisely.

And make a compact version as well.

Added: It would be even more awesome if you could make one that is better than the Swiss, and cost $100s less than the Germans. But if i had to choose between price and quality, i would always go for quality with a P210.

I've always wanted a P210... but it was always out of my price range.

i think it's going to be a while.... 2016 looks to be the year of the legion. That's a huge marketing campaign plugging away and like it or not Sig Exeter is in it for the bottom line.... not for producing niche market high end expensive pistols most of the public will never purchase.
Because of this, I fear the xseries may always be in the back burner and possibly never brought to the design table for US production. I hope I'm wrong.

I own both X5 Enhanced and Swiss and German P210s. I never liked the P210 series until I owned one. Then I "got" it. I will end up buying an American P210 to go along with my Swiss and German ones. I will hold judgment until I see it myself. But I will be sorely disappointed unless they come with test targets to show us how they compare to the older P210s.

I have a few X5's and two P210s...I wouldn't even hesitate to keep the 210's over the X5s, no question about it, the P210's are perfect guns....for me. They're smoother than butter; either you 'get it' or you don't with the 210s and I totally get it.

I hope the American 210's are as good. A very large Sig dealer handled them yesterday and spoke very highly of the quality and trigger. Time will tell.

2017 We will see an American X5 and it will be a Legion X5.
