P220 Grip/Trigger Mods

Hi all,

First post.

Got a P220 Carry SAS on the way and wanted to see what grip/trigger mods were possible for this variant. I have very small hands and have a habit of dragging the frame on dual-stack pistols, so I wanted to try a single-stack, hence the 220 purchase. I've shot a 229 with the standard trigger and grip panels, and did fine, but I'm curious about the E2 grip, Short Reach Trigger, and Short Reset Trigger mod. Are all of these three possible options for the 220 Carry SAS?

Thanks,

Chris

If you have a current production Gen 2 SAS coming it should have the short reach and Short Reset Trigger. I don't see where any of the current 220 models are offered with the E2 grip.

It is a Gen 2, so that's good. Could I retrofit an E2 onto this frame?

I don't know if an E2 grip is available for the P220. If there is, you could probably do it. If you don't like the stock grips, check out some Hogue grips; lot's of options available.

Yeah, I see that you can order one with an E2, but the grip alone isn't listed in the accessories options. Maybe search Gun Broker?

Not the E2 grips but Tog Gun has a set of Slim grips for the P220 reasonable price too! Here: Factory Sig replacement grips - P220 SLIM - Top Gun Supply

Sig sells a lot of things that aren't listed in the catalog. Give them a call.

Picked up the 220 today. Weapon appears to have standard trigger and does have standard grips. As is typical for my hands, can barely get first pad on trigger, cannot activate mag release without rotating grip in palm.

Consider "E-Squared" conversion (Short Reach Trigger + Short Reset Trigger+ E2 Grip) or put back on the market?

I have hands that are on the smaller side. I bought some thin grips for my P220 and it made a world of difference.

I installed thin grips also and it made big difference. $15.95 at Top Gun.
