| Thinking of picking up an sp2022...
I am looking into buying an sp2022 9mm. I came across a used 9mm with the factory 15rd mag, a mec gar 17rd mag, night sights, and crimson trace laser grips. The gun is in great condition and couldn't have had more than a couple of hundred of rounds through it. The price on it is $630. I haven't ever dealt with Sigs before and was scratching my head on the price. In your guys expert opinions in the sig community, what is a good price for something such as this?

to me, that seems high...I bought a new 2022 a few weeks ago for $425. It only came with one mag but those only run $40. Not sure about the Crimson Trace though...maybe that makes it "worth" it...but again, seems pretty high for a 2022 used.

I checked around on the Crimson Trace and they're $299.99($300) to a little more.

I paid $400 for my 2022 new and if crimson trace grips are $300 new, that would put you only saving $70 on a total price for a used gun. If you feel like it is a deal, and the gun is in good shape, Go for it. The 2022 is an excellent weapon and frankly it is the best you can buy for the price range, IMO.

I picked up my new 2022 for $349 late last year and that was the best deal I've seen all year. + transfer fee $25. To make what you are looking at I'd have to add night sights $100. Add a mag $40. And add grips. So if it were all new it'd run just over $800. If you are going to use the CT then yes it's a decent deal. If not, I'd pass.

I think it sounds good with the extras. Make sure the CT is in good working order.

With the crimson trace it sounds like a deal. Depending on where the laws go, those ultra-high capacity baby-killing magazines alone might be worth that and more on the black market! LOL! J/K. Don't want to get in trouble for saying the wrong thing.

That's a HIGH price to pay for an SP2022. I say, unless you're dead set on the upgrades, keep looking. This past November I bought my SP2022 .40, standard sights, plus 3 mags, with less than 50rds thru it for $350.00 + DROS Transfer Fees here in CA. I'm stuck with the magic 10 mags though Last edited by Updgrader; 01-15-2013 at 07:29 PM. |

I just paid 459.99 for a new 2022 40 at Academy Sporting goods last Friday. Prices are going up on everything, but still 459 isn't a bad price on a new Sig |

I'm into mine for $459.00 with night sights, none to be found in my area. After searching for a few days there were only two left when I bought mine. I picked up the 9mil. Glad I chose the SIG 2022 over the GLock 19. |

They are hard to come by here. Bass Pro had one in less than a week it was gone. A local shop, Hoover Tactical Firearms, had one a ways back and it sold within a week. You literally have to be there as soon as they get them in or else you're sierra oscar lima! I've been watching gunbroker and there are fewer listings than before and the prices are going way up. I know Academy initially had the 2022 listed for $399, now it's up to $459 with contrast sights and they don't have it. That's almost what Hoover Tactical was asking for the one I saw last year with night sights. I think their price was $469? I wasn't in the position to buy one at the time, sux. My problem now is that my German Shepherd took my gun money in the form of a vet bill. I'm looking to put one on layaway if I can find one and then pay it off with our tax return.

Seeing as the price has generally gone from 399.99 to 459.99 show the growing popularity of the 2022, that is a good thing.
