Thanks XDJ I've looked at the Sig 1911. Unfortunately a full size looks a little too big to conceal. That's what is so appealing about the Kimber Carry models and the EMP. The 3" barrel looks like it will conceal pretty easy. |

Just picked up my SP2022 9mm out of jail yesterday (California 10 day background check process) and headed straight for the range. Zero issues with about 100 rounds through it. Did notice it shoots a bit lower than where the sights were aimed. Heard a few remarks about this. This is an awesome gun, so much fun to shoot, fits my hand like a glove, and will be my home defense/range gun. Also added a Viridian Green Laser/Light attachment which I got on ebay brand new for $265. This thing is awesome, doesn't protrude past the barrel, and only weighs 2 ounces. Would highly recommend it.

SP2022 is a good choice. I had one for a while. I just recently traded it for an AR upper. I missed the Sig so much I went out and bought a 229

Heading to the range today with the wife to shoot her SP2022 and my Springfield 1911! Also, going to rent a 22/45 to get a lot of practice on since it's been a few weeks since we last shot.

I knocked out another 250 rounds on Saturday during gun appreciation day at my local range and manually compensated while experimenting with the aiming. If I aimed dead center then raised up about 2 degrees, I seemed to hit dead center more often. THANK YOU for that invaluable feedback. I was almost afraid to ask about that, as I did not want to seem like I am a complainer, but I was wondering about it. Last edited by Scot; 01-21-2013 at 11:55 PM. | |

My SP2022 also shoots low, about 2-3 inches depending on distance. I've had to get adjusted to aiming higher but I shouldn't have to do that. I have #8 front and #8 "i" post rear. I'm thinking of going to a higher number fiber optic but sight pushers are too expensive and I don't want to give a local gunsmith $50 to do it. |
