Get you the 2022. It weighs less than the P229 and that will help for the "all day carry". I EDC my 2022 IWB and after a few minutes you will hardly notice that you have one on. They are great shooters, have a natural point when in your hand, and with all the money you will save over the 229, you can get yourself a quailty holster made for it. I trust my 2022 to do it's job when needed.

Was your extended waranty a SIG extended warranty or aftermarket?
I don't think SIG sells extended warranties.
Businesses have learned that the 'extended warranties' are pure profit and they are offered on everything, everywhere.
If you do a simple analysis over your lifetime, you will save money by not purchasing these after market warranties versus any money you pay out for repair work not covered or new purchases by just throwing away the broken item.
My exception is new vehicle Factory Extended warranties. I have purchased them for each of the last three Volvo wagons I have purchased, so far its a toss up, I haven't gained any money nor have I lost!-Dick

Springfield Armory also has a lifetime warranty... as does Taurus if that tells you anything.

It was from my local Gander Mountain. Not through Sig, it wasn't very expensive no more than $40 or $50. It came with a free cleaning, Woohoo, but who can't clean their own gun. Like I mentioned before It was my first Sig and I didn't realize at the time that Sigs had a lifetime warranty.

As far a new car extended warrnties, those can be iffy, sometimes they are worded so vauge that the manufacturer can argue their way out of weither or not such a repair would be covered. I hear that service plans can be a good idea though. Anyways back to guns.....
