So my pistol came in today,

I'm excited but a bit concerned.

I tested some snap caps in it, and I'm not noticing the SRT trigger system, it actually seems pretty normal or long to me.

Secondly,

I took down the pistol the traditional way, unlike the SRT way of decocking it when the slid is back to the normal position leaving me even more concerned that the SRT is not working or for some crazy reason was not installed period.

I've also noticed it has the traditional trigger, so I'll be sending it to Sig for the Short Reach Trigger which I think is easier overall.

Anyone have input on this? Pretty expensive for the fell of the standard P229R.

I didn't think SRT and the short reach trigger are "related"

SRT refers to the shorter reset, while short reach trigger is just a slimmer trigger. You can have SRT with a normal trigger (I have it on my 229).

When your trigger resets, about how far away is it from being pulled back? SRT should be almost right away.

Thanks all,

Going to try that right now.

I was firing from Double action previously. Hoping I can give it another shot without taking the grip apart to decipher the mechanism itself.

I'll update ya in a few

Perfect,

Thanks guys , I appreciate it.

Works great, very short reset I'm excited to shoot it. I'll be sending it off to Sig for the "Short Reach Trigger" along with the Action Enhancement package and a few extra mags.

By time all this is done my P220 Carry Elite Dark should be coming, it's going to be a good year.
