Today I received my two new in box P229's with the understanding one was manufactured July 27, 2010 (E29R-9-BSS-E2-G) and the second one was manufactured Sept 11, 2012 (E29R-9-BSS-SRT). I noticed the earlier P229 has a thinner side profile trigger, different sight Trijicon H3 10 vs MH3 AL and the top of the barrel that is exposed at the top of the rail is shiny while the barrel on the more recent one is dark. Does anyone know if there is a quality difference between the two?

They both should be E2, SRT with night sights.

they're not in the catalog so it's hard to say.

sometime back there were 2 versions, one with e2's & one with ns.
it'sounds like one was old new stock.

how did you order these, from what specs?
