1911 Ultra Carry

Hey guys, I was at the local pawn shop today and they had a brand new one.
And I must say I absolutely loved the way it felt in the hand!
He's asking sticker for it which is 989. But, the only other I could find is on gunbroker
for over 1100. I want a carry pistol. Im tryin to decide on a p220 carry or versions of it or maybe this little 1911 Ultra Carry. Could the members that have or had the Ultra Carry maybe chime in and let me know how they like it. Or naybe why they didnt.

I'm curious as to what others have to say as well. I purchased one a week ago and am headed to the range with it tomorrow. Selling points for me were its a Sig first of all, and looks to be an easily concealable .45

Just joined after buying a Sig Ultra Compact

Spent a lot of research and searching for a 45 compact carry. After 5 stores and handling multiple guns, I bought the Sig Sauer Ultra Compact 1911. A little expensive at $970, but provided the same feel as my full size 1911 (a Springfield). Also a lot cheaper than the Kimber compacts or Colt New Agents I was looking at. And for the little more cost of the glocks, springfields, beretta's etc, was definitely worth the cost (after all, over a lifetime, it's actually very cheap annually). Was very pleased with the accuracy and comfort in shooting, with no misfeeds or other problems. Also very happy with the 7+1 45 ACP capacity. Very accurate, easily matching my full size 1911. Definitely a good buy and rides inside my belt comfortably.

the only reason I asked was they have the 2 tone , the basic (color) one then then just released one that looks like the 2 tone but has g-10 grips and an ambi safty , its a great gun

Cool. I believe I'll go ahead and pull the proverbial trigger on this one based upon the reviews. Plus, it felt damn good holding it. Its super nice.....

Guys, the only other carry pistol I would want besides this little
1911 would be what I originally wanted a p220 carry elite or sas.
I just wander how well people like those.....It would be like a miniature version of my
220. But, damn they are getting hard to find. As a matter of fact the guy told me he talked to Sig Sauer today- a guy that works in the factory and he said they hired 200 people and are going hard as they can. I would imagine a backlog /shortage is already here.....

Well guys, I guess I will go ahead and get that 1911 Ultra Nitron. the only other I would want instead of it would be the P220 Elite carry in stainless with the Rosewood grips. But, the only one I can find is on gunbroker and its 1300 bucks. These pistols are getting very, very hard to find.

I had a C3 carry 1911 and of all the guns I've traded there were only two I regretted trading.
The C3 and a Randall 1911.
The small 1911s are on the edge of cycle. They can be troublesome. For that reason the only two I would get are Sig and Springfield. They will stand behind them for life. Kimber etc. don't.
That is comforting for the customer, and makes the manufatucturer work harder to get them right, less they are eaten up taking care of them.
Though the 220 is a top rate platform, I would rather have a 1911. They just feel so right.
A design that has stood the test of time. Thank you Mr. Browning
