I'd be very surprised to see that happen. Quite a difference between P250 mags and metal frame P-series mags.

I've seen it in 1 or 2 places from people reporting on shot show. It makes sense if they did. I hope so anyways....

But, the p220 slide is interchangeable?
Sounds like a really nice pistol @ 14+1
So, we p220 owners can't just buy the 14+1 mags.....just business I reckon.

From what I've read it is the exact same as the p220 barrel. Exactly the same, different stamp. Uses p250 double stack 10 round mags. I wish we 220 owners could use the 14 rounders but its double stack vs our regular single stacks. Most we have is 10 rounds now with the extended mag which isn't too shabby. Not good for cc maybe but 11 rounds of .45 for home defense is a-ok in my book. Problem is finding those elusive 10 round bastids.

o offense, 229R, but unless you work in Sig's R&D, it's highly unlikely you have held a 227

Thousands of people held the 227 at the SHOT Show and spoke to their development folks who confirmed that the 227 will use a 250 magazine.

I find it curious that SIG would constrain the design of a new metal frame pistol so that it accepts the mag from a low (sales) volume polymer model. It's not like mag commonality between the P227 and P250-.45cal would be a strong selling point.
