P239. Mine carries great and the weight is fine. Not enough of a reduced size difference gained by going down to a 380.

That being said I still wouldn't mind owning a p232.

I've got both they're great guns apples and oranges really. .380 vs 9mm/.40/.357. For concealment the 232 feels smaller than its dimensions and hides easily in a crossbreed iwb holster besides it shoots great. I carry the 239 SAS gen 2 in .40 half the time now and like the way it shoots and feels but feels bigger. There is a bit of a noticeable weight difference while carrying the two (around 6oz) this may not matter to you but you can tell the difference (239 being heavier). Good luck with your choice hope this kinda helped lol

Don't have a P239, but I've carried a P230 for years...have a hard time believing they are the same size. Don't know, maybe. Fwiw, P230 is a dream to carry, even if it is a lowly .380. Also fwiw, I work in an ER...and I've seen one .380 hole = drt and multiple .45 holes = Walky talky. I carry a .45 90% of the time, but I don't feel too terribly undergunned with good .380 SD ammo.

232 for the summer, 239 for winter.

Modern .380 pistol ammo has plenty of energy to do the job.

The P239 is a large gun given limited capacity. Great shooter that shoots like a full size gun because it pretty much is. Carries nice. 9mm is small as I go. I want a 9mm to be small or offer greater capacity; the P239 is neither. So, I sold it and went to a P228 for the added capacity and even better shootability. One of the best guns I ever sold and don't miss.

I'm considering a P239 SAS to add to the collection. Also check youtube for reviews on both models.

This might be helpful. Had them bookmarked.

Everone has views on the power of each round.
For me it was simple. 380 ammo is more expensive around here, and I don't want to pay more for less bullet. My CM 9 is smaller than my past 230 and a cheaper, more powerfull round. Someday I will have a 239 SAS in 40.

Both same length, P239 quite a bit thicker and way heavier. 25.2/27.4 vs 18.5 OZ
