The p290 is 2.9 inches and 20 ounces small but not the lightest .

Functional should be the real balance point, and for that, I really like my P938.

Considering all makes it would most likely be a Kel-Tec or a Diamondback. Kel-Tecs are iffy at best and Diamondbacks are a POS from the start.

As for SIG the P290 would be in the running.

Have shot these 3. Was coveting the Kimber Solo CDP [LG] ( which I could not find anywhere ) when I found the P938. Fit my hand better and is as small as I can comfortably operate. That is the smallest for me.

Personally I went with the P938. I like the function of 1911 style handguns and did not like the long trigger pulls of the Nano or the PM9.

I briefly owned a LC9 and quickly sold it to get my 938. The LC9 feels like a much bigger gun than the 938 and mine had a long, stiff trigger pull. I much prefer the 938 but there is a big difference in price

I'm surprised that no one mentioned the keltec pf9. Solid gun and very attractive price point
