Just got my 220 back from Sig 12 day turn around. The trigger is very smooth and the internals are smooth as glass I am not sure if the trigger pull is shorter or if it just feels like it because it is so smooth both the DA and SA are great. All in all I am very happy with the results and Sig did an outstanding job and I can't wait to take it to the range

Early Sig P220 German Made

Not my picture by the way!! Most Made in Germany Sigs are highly coveted, and even those marked "Made in Germany", but assembled in the US are also coveted guns. Generally, those assembled here in the states will not have the proof marks, and will have only a serial number. The coveted ones were made around the late 1980's thru about 1995. However, there are some that had the heel mounted magazine release that are worth alot to collectors. Usually the older Sig P220's with the steel folded slides, were considered some of the most accurate ones made. I am not an expert in any way, shape, or form!!!

My P220 Carry frame was made in Germany & I like the gun a lot, but it came with the short reach trigger. On occasion, it would pinch my finger. Sig offered me a deal I couldn't refuse to replace the short trigger with the standard trigger. Awaiting the shipping label & hope the turn around time isn't too long, but it'll be worth the wait.

Btw, Sig is currently offering a great deal for P226/P229 with short reach trigger & E2 grip. They'll replace the short trigger with the standard trigger for a great price. Please call Sig customer service(603-772-2302) to get the details.
