I finally found a holster I love for my P232!

I've tried a few other holsters previously for this gun (Galco and Uncle Mike's) that were okay, but I finally got one from Bianchi that works great with my gun!

I like IWB holsters for my carry gun, so I tried Galco first based on their reputation. The holster wasn't 'bad' but I didn't care for how the suede lining seemed to soak all the oil off of my gun, and the retention strap was not comfortable at all against my bare skin.

Up until now I have been using an Uncle Mike's holster, that while held the gun nicely, wasn't the most comfortable. The material it was constructed out of really did provide much 'cushion' between me and the barrel of the gun, which turned out to be quite a pain in my hip. It wasn't terrible, just really had to position it right. I also didn't like how the retention strap didn't completely cover the slide, which allowed the gun to rest against my skin.

I finally decided to try Bianchi and I am very impressed!! This model is extremely comfortable and conceals the gun well! (Definitely much less noticeable while wearing a 'tighter' shirt) It shields the gun from my body too to avoid perspiration and the belt clip seems very sturdy. While it doesn't have a strap, the innate retention holds the gun incredibly well. I'll definitely be using this for future purchases, here's the link for anyone that is interested (they have versions for many different model guns):

Model 100 *Professional™ Inside Waistband Holster Bianchi Leather Holsters

I know Galco and Uncle Mike's make different model holsters that are similar to the Bianchi one, but I just wanted to give some credit where it is due

How do you find the retention with the single clip vs two hooks, straps?

I need a IWB for a P239. Considering Galco Summer Comfort. Is that the model you tried, regarding Galco?

Looking for a belt OWB for a P229. I don't like thumb straps or Kydex, so choices limited.

I looked at the exact model you highlighted. One thing that turned me off is the same model is used for the P228,229 and 239. That isn't inspriring when I look at both guns side by side. The 229 is railed and the 239 has the melt treatment (SAS, gen2) , making the dimensions in both seem even more dramatic.

The retention with the single clip seems to hold surprisingly well. I was trying to rip the holster off my waist and couldn't do it just to prove that point to myself.

That Galco model you mentioned looks nice! Mine was a bit more compact, suede instead of leather, and had a thumb strap with a metal button that would dig into your skin if you didn't have a shirt tucked underneath it.

Hmmm, yeah I'm not sure about the 229 but it fit mine like a glove!

I found a great IWB leather holster from Tagua leather for my P232. The clip is wide enough that the retention is not an issue. I have single clip IWB holsters for my 1911's and P220 Carry and find they both need additional anchoring (I am in the market for left-handed Summer Comforts from Galco for both). The Tagua holds perfectly still and is in fact difficult to get back off once it has been clipped on your pants. Very nice soft leather too.

You just made me a happy camper. I bought that holster a year ago for my CZ 75 Compact and never liked the way it fit the trigger guard. I just brought a P232 home, and came here looking for a holster recommendation and there it is. Thanks!

I have the same holster for my p232 and its a good one. Recently purchased a Comptac mtac for my shield 9mm and it is SUPER comfortable.
