Question P938 Sight Pusher Is it a Ghost product

I have looked through forum threads and searched the web but cannot find a definitive answer.

Is there a Sight Pusher for the 938 ?

I know the sights can be drifted, have read many posts on it. I am the person Murphy's law was written for. If I am gonna mess around with the sights I DO NOT need to be Beating on my gun with punch tool and a hammer. Trust me this would not be a good outcome.

I have 4 of the 938's with another on the way. They all seem to have the left set of the sights. May or may not need resetting so I am looking for the solution in advance if they do. Have not done any target shooting with them yet. Just some shooting at some metal swinging targets.

Any help would be appreciated.

No definitive answer here. You might want to try the one SIGLars used on a P238, which is mentioned in today's posts on this thread.

If the slide height is about the same, it should work.

Have you tried using less finger on the trigger? That is pull with the tip of your finger rather that the first joint.

Exclamation Found a Tool ... Anyone had any experience with this item

After further research I came across this tool. Don't know why it has not shown in any of my searches ... more likely I just overlooked it as a search result.

GunsAmerica did a very positive review of this tool.
Thinking this might be the answer to my need. It appears it would work with my Beretta, Kimber, Ruger, Glock and Sigs. The price is right ... much better than $200.00+ for some of the dedicated pushers.

That's the one I have. So far I have used it on a 1911, SIG P226, P239, and P238.

Just an FYI, YRMV

I bought one of those and tried it on my 938........FAILED

The pusher tip actually sheared off while trying to move the rear sight ;^(

I returned it for a refund

... Give you any static about the RETURN ?? ...

Is it made cheaply or just not a good fit for the 938 ?

No static about the return.
It seemed well built but just didn't work on my gun. It fit the slide OK not sure what caused the failure. I ended up just using a brass drift.
Might work fine for someone else.

Re: P938 Sight Pusher Is it a Ghost product

On Apr 2, 2013, a thread was started discussing this, titled "Front and Rear sight removal." I provided info for a similar pusher and where to purchase for about $50 shipped. I have used this pusher to remove and install MANY rear sights successfully. If it is not properly set up, it CAN fail and DAMAGE itself or parts of the slide.

Why is it always the gun and not the operator that's the problem?

I saw this thread but could never find the unit you referred to. Don't know why ... maybe ineptness on my end played a very large part in that.

The seller danfil or whatever it was, no longer listed as a seller on GunsAmerica.

Thanks for the comments on the units use.

I don't know anything about seller danfil on Gunbroker. My reference was on ebay, item # 181113532493 by seller warchild3069.

That name as a seller came out of one of my searches I guess .. didn't see your ebay reference when going through the threads.

They are still available on ebay I see. That unit does not look quite as heavy duty as the one on the Universal site. $15.00 less expensive though. I also like the larger wing nut setup on the the Universal from the site. The pusher part also does not look as though it has the curved and straight push tip like the Universal from the site does. Also having the different blocks for holding the slide might come in handy. Decisions • Decisions • Decisions !!

Appreciate your input on this.

Re: P938 Sight Pusher Is it a Ghost product

The pusher I've recommended does have an angled and straight side.
