Dump the MCX?

I'm getting tired of waiting, and I'm tired of the Sig CS lies of availability. I bought the MCX a long time ago for the 7.62x39 kit, and what a joke that's been. I had one competitive source tell me that the 7.62x39 will never happen, but I keep hoping they're wrong. It's appearing that they're more right after all this time. Really, CS has zero clue aside from accepting pre-orders for something that will never happen. It's very much a part of SIG's history. Completely unreliable information, and their employees have 'zero clue' of SIG's intent to provide product as promised. Yes, they sound interested and hopeful on the phone, but really, they haven't a clue.

So, unless something happens, like Jupiter aligning with Mars, I'm thinking I need to dump this rifle. I do like it, and thought they had their sh it in order, but once again SIG manufacturing has shown their total a ss in ignoring existing products to develop newer products in the chase for the almighty dollar. It really sucks that they treat existing customer's this way, but there's a resolve, and that's to hit them in the wallet. STOP buying their promises! Learn from others that SIG lacks support, lacks interest, and will not even sell existing customers simple parts to fix their broken guns. There's simply no money in selling a broken firing pin to a 556XI owner. It's unbelievable, but true. Run. Run as fast and far away from SIG sh it as fast you can, or you will eventually succumb to their evil foreign made cra p and lack of any interest in their customers.

Yes, I hate SIG for making me a part of their miserable company!

Why dont you just enjoy the rifle as is and throw some lead down range more often and let that be the way you deal with the delays and stress.

'Cause that's not what they were selling. All the hype about "barrel kits" aren't materializing after a couple years of lies and promises. I have no mercy for them at this point.

This is why I have a Ruger 556 Takedown, 556/300blk and the barrel is tool-less to swap.

This is why I bought a barrel and had it cut. But Im still waiting for them to get off their as s to make hand guards. I share in your frustration. Unfortunately I already SBR'd mine. So selling it might not be worth it.

I get what you're saying, it does **** you off when you're told something will happen and it doesn't materialize. On the other hand, if you like the rifle and it runs well, why not just shoot it and enjoy it? I get not wanting to support a company that doesn't support you, but frankly, not a single person at SIG will care even a little of you sell your rifle.

I guess my question is why would you buy 5.56 when what your wanting is an AK with a folding stock?

I guess it all depends on if you think 7.62x39 is a better round for you. id just buy an ar10. which is what I did.

Feel your pain Mr Smoky. Am greatly annoyed with SIG mgmt on their decision to stiff us on these MCX kits & parts too. I've worn out my SIG Mgr contacts on this issue. Guess they didn't enjoy my FTC & BBB complaints, and have been unresponsive to my last follow ups.

I'm happy with the 16" MCX 556 rifle presently in our armory and don't plan to sell. These rifles are in demand, so suggest that you aim high with your sell or trade - Wish you well!

Cheers

Then begs the question... why would you buy a .223 MCX if you wanted the 7.62 all along? Plenty of other 7.62x39 offerings. And in my opinion, the 7.62x39 round isn't really befitting of a high end platform.
