I just talked to customer service. They are sending a box for me to send the entire firearm to them for replacement of the carrier assembly AND since I have a Geissele trigger they will also replace it with the new updated version of the SSA trigger assembly.

I couldn't ask for better customer service.

I'm just telling you what I was told. He implied they do have an updated SSA.

Can't get through to to Sig CS now. Busy signal. I do have the Geissele trigger in my MCX as well so I sent an email asking for instructions.

Happy to see the new design's pinned Spring Plate & 'dogleg' bolt connection approach. Sounds great that SIG is updating our Giessele triggers too!!

Am wondering how we'll clean the bolt's internals & firing pin though...

EDIT: CS tells me that their drawing's 'Non-removable' firing pin retaining pin is misleading. It should be described as a 'retained' firing pin retaining pin, as we will be able to remove the bolt & firing pin. The firing pin's retaining pin will NOT come completely out... It's good!

Cheers

I didn't call them. I just did the registration form from the link that was in the email. Not much of a confirmation after I submitted the form. Just a "Thank you for registering your firearm" type message. Thats a little too vague. And my MCX was already registered before. Im going to give them a call just to make sure we are good to go.

I have not had a chance to look to closely at this yet but my MCX is already registered with Sig. Is this a different registration dealing only with this issue?

Just checked Geissele web page no trigger for a MCX listed.
