Ok I had my LGS order me a Sig 516. Trying to support my LGS and said they could have it there in a couple of days. 3 weeks later and I'am still waiting on it. Now I'am getting a good deal ($1330. OTD) considering Gander Mt. wants $1599.+tax/bgc. They say they are hard to get but, I see other gun stores getting them in around here. How long did it take any of you to order a Sig 516?

When I was in the gun business, if my supplier had it in stock, it would take whatever time for the gun to be shipped from my supplier to me... usually within a week to 10 days. If my local supplier had it, I could get it within 0 to 2 days. If your LGS hasn't got it in 3 weeks, my guess is that their supplier is waiting to receive more stock. Good Luck!

Did you ever get your 516? I've been waiting since mid-May for my 516 precision marksman. Didn't go through a LGS but found a decent price online. At first I was told maybe June, then August and then Sept/Oct. Here it is the middle of Oct and still no gun. This gun had better be worth the wait.

No...I 'am still waiting on mine too. The gun is well worth the wait. Just getting tired of LGS telling me something different ever time I call to check in. This will BE MY LAST gun I buy from them !! If you dont know when something will be there, then say you don't ! I did call SIG and talk to them and they said if you want one , have your LGS call and order you one and the turn around time on them is about 3 months. My LGS keeps telling me it should be here by the end of the week. They could atleast tell me that so I wouldnt be calling them all the time. Sorry for the venting....

I seem to be having the same problem. I ordered a 516 Precision Marksman in May and my dealer has been getting the runaround from from the distributor. I called Sig to talk with them twice in the last month just to see if their response would be consistent. It was not. I was told they were shipping in February the first time and the second time they told me they didn't have a clue as to the ship date and couldn't help me. Really not sure what to do. I looked at the M400 as a cheaper substitute but I have heard there are some recall/cancellation problems. I hope that is bad gouge. Really considering going back to the drawing board and ordering something different. I haven't fired a round from a Sig Rifle but so far I'm definitely not a fan.

I called Sig today and they say that the Precision Marksmen 516 are definately not in production. He said it was a idea that they were considering but have not gone forward with it. That was their customer service. My dealer got a visit from a rep recently and the rep said they had problems with their barrel supplier. Other people say their is a copywrite infringement with Adams. Bottom line if you need a rifle now get something else.

Just received an email from Reed's Sporting Goods. Looks like Sig has finally started shipping the 516 Precision Marksman and Reed's have them in stock. Not sure how long they'll last. Mine should arrive sometime next week. Will post photos when I pick it up.

Picked up my newest addition. Unexpectedly came with a Harris bipod, MIAD grip, rail ladders and 20-round PMag. Scope is a Pride-Fowler 10X42 Rapid Reticle temp installed until the Vortex Viper PST comes in. (sorry if pic isn't loading since preview doesn't show it - will have to work on sizing for uploading)
