Well I'm starting to get my M400 dressed up now. Should be receiving my B.A.D. lever today. I was gonna go Magpul to keep everything on it Magpul but was reading reviews on it and ppl said they had issues with fitting it on the M400. I found another manufacturer called Tactical Link and the reviews from their products sounded promising and I could order it in FDE to match the rest of the furniture on the gun! I'll be installing it tonight after I get off work. I'd be interested to hear from any of you guys if you've had any experiences with this company and any other additions that would be good for the M400
Just took this. Every gun in the pic I've done some sort of work to! the Mossberg has seen the most attention out of all of them! I get started on one and its hard to stop!

Sw9ve actually. Thats my wifes carry piece. She's about to retire it in favor of a Beretta PX4 Storm compact 40! yeah the Mossberg started out as just a pump action 500 Cruiser. I did all the addons myself! looking to sell it at the gunshow this weekend to fund the Beretta fir the wife! she can't handle the recoil
Well ordered a set of Strike enhanced trigger guards for the M400 today in FDE. Should be here in the next few days. Cost was 10.50 with free shipping for 2 polymer guards. One is a left handed model and the other is ambidextrous. Not a bad deal in my opinion. Should fit right in. Will post pics after install!
I was wondering if anyone has put on a sig tac compact prismatic rifle scope or the sig comp pris scp 3x red/grn bdc on their m400 enhanced? do you have any issues with the front sights? do you need to add a riser?

I actually did add a riser to it yesterday before I went to the range with it. I was able to cowitness it with the lower 1/3 of the reticle and have my dot centered so it worked out. Could only find a Promag aluminum riser for it on short notice but it locked on to the flattop securely and I had zero issues with it. I saw a guy with the Sigtac on a 9mm carbine a few months back. Put a few rounds down with it and I did enjoy it!
Well it only cost 119 and has plenty of features to play with on it! 3 different dot colors and intensities plus the laser and light already attached to it! I think I did alright with it!
Well I dont really use a laser as a pin point targeting system. I get it fairly close to where I would hit and use it as a quick reference if I need to pull a quick shot out.
I'm just surfing the web finding deals here and there seeing what I can see that catches my eye! Strike Industries trigger guard came in the mail today to be installed after work! more pics to follow!
Moved the light and laser off the actual optic and mounted them behind the flash hider. With them mounted to the sides of the scope it was just too bulky in the bag. Wanna hear some opinions on the new setup cause I'm not quite sold on it yet
Well personally, I'd get rid of the barrel-mounted rail. You can mount those things on your handguard.
I would also get a different optic... Like a Lucid HD7, M7, or Kalinka Nayvis 34 (decent budget red dots). The HD7 has an "ACOG" look to it, and the M7 is VERY small and light. The Kalinka is... unique.
I would also probably get a different flashlight... Check out the Armytek Pro. Armytek Predator v2.5 CREE XP-G2 670 Lumen 670 - Going Gear
You can get that for just under $80.00 bucks shipped if you use the Sootch00 discount code and free shipping. Sootch00 on youtube just posted a review of it on youtube, and it is AWESOME. Mounts with a 1-inch scope ring.
But other than that stuff, it looks like you're good to go.
It's definitely not how I'M setting up MY first AR-15, but who cares? Your rifle, your thing.
I agree, your rifle so do it like you like it. Personally I wouldn't mount the light that far up the barrel. I have a clamp on tri-rail that goes right under the FSB that allows for a mount below the FSB and on either side. If you are interested in something like that, PM me and we can work a deal. I just added a Magpul AFG and a Magpul MOE stock to my Windham but haven't had time to post pics. Keep up the good work and build it like you like it because you are the only person that has to be happy with it.
Appreciate that Kenny! I had the rail right there already so I just decided to see how I felt about it. Like I had said I wasnt really sold on it myself. I'm looking to get an AFG for my rifle as well and researching I found another one from the same place I got my trigger guards from. Its either gonna be that or the Magpul. Just depends on how I feel at the time I suppose
Just added a Magpul polymer rail to the bottom of the fore end to mount an angled fore grip I plan on ordering it the next few weeks. Bought a set of Magpul XTM enhanced rail covers to go over it til then

Which AFG are you ordering? If you are going to get the Magpul AFG(1) you may want to contact Magpul to assure it will fit with your style handguard. The AFG (1) has "wings" on it that may stick up too high to clear your handguard. They sell the AFG2 that does not have the "wings" and is slightly shorter (1/2" or so).
When I was trying to decide if I wanted to drop the $30 on one, I found an AFG2 PTS (pro training simulation) version on Ebay for $18 shipped and installed it to see if I liked an angled forward grip. Then I dropped the coin on a real AFG(1) with the wings that fit my quad rail.
Rather than bore you with all the details and get writer's cramp in the process I'll only post a few pictures because I don't know how to downsize them yet.
I will say that my newest addition is my CMMG dedicated .22LR upper...yes I got another entire upper for it too.
Good call on the Tactical Link EBAL! I read the same reviews about how Magpul's BAD Lever might not fit the M400 very well. Was very pleased to see another manufacturers version (ie Tactical Link). Fitted my M400 with one several weeks ago and am very happy with this upgrade
I read all the reviews I could find before deciding on the Tactical Link lever! after the install and a few dry runs and a trip to the range it hasnt even wiggled! its solid as a rock and I'll recommend it to anyone with the M400!
