Mcx suppressor width hand guards finally shipping!!

Woke up to this email this morning. VERY excited. And it's the rifle length. I told them I would take the rifle or carbine length (whichever is available first). So the you have it. If you're on the preorder list for a RIFLE length suppressor width hand guard, you're in luck.

Will do. Still about a month away from my can getting approved. But I think I'll make a conjugal visit. Sucks that the rifle is getting recalled as everything is FINALLY coming together.

Well, it turns out these knuckleheads at SIG sent me the carbine hand guard. Anyone want to buy it, instead of me sending it back? I know there are some who are pretty deep on the list. Rather hook someone up, than send it back. It is pretty though. I would post pics, but I already boxed it back up. If anyone wants it, speak up asap. Otherwise it's going back.

Okay, Ive got my return shipping label. Speak now, or be left waiting.

Oh, BTW it is the carbine length. Or at least its the same length as the one that came on my 16" 300BLK carbine. But it is rounder than the OEM model. Seems to be pretty nice.

MCX suppressor width handguard ordered Oct-16 arrived today. Fit & finish are good, nice grip & very light weight too. ID slightly less than 2".

We're waiting on SIG's 9" 300Blk kit (April 7 '16 pre-order), and our SRD762TI-QD's ATF stamp (also filed April 7 '16). Also, this rifle's shipping out to Exeter, NH Monday for her bolt carriage & trigger change...

Cheers

Yeah, this adjustable KES collapsing stock is very sturdy, light weight and just the right size & texture butt to shoulder quickly without snagging or sticking on my shirt or jacket.

I have 3 MCX stocks now, and this is my fav for how we usually shoot the MCX. If we're shooting 100 to 300yds targets with a scope, I'll switch to the tele/folder for a little better comb...

Cheers

I can see that. I did a lot of reading when I got the KES. Definitely seemed like the best option for an SBR/CQB rifle build.

Just got shipping notification for the 2nd hand guard. Looks like this one is 11" long from the description. Both this and the last notice say "Rifle", when the first one that came was clearly carbine length. I think I'm going to just not cancel it. So I have something to use while I wait 14 weeks for Lancer to make my 18".

This rifle pack shipping notice is the box for your rifle's return for the carriage assembly & trigger replacement...

Cheers

Yeah, if you have an aftermarket trigger group, SIG wants your complete rifle to replace the carriage assembly - and the trigger with their 'MCX Match Trigger'... At least, that's they're instructions this week!!

I followed up with another SIG contact, and he's saying the same thing. That this isn't their original (stiff) mil-spec MCX trigger. He says they've 'upgraded' their MCX trigger group.

He didn't promise this new MCX trigger would be as good as the Geissele SD-3G that's currently in my rifle, but that it is improved over their original trigger group. We'll see...

Oh, and SIG will return the Geissele to me with the rifle.

Obviously, we've had a few new & unexpected wrinkles in our LONG MCX road. IMO, this remains a bad-arse rifle, and I hope our patience will be rewarded .. eventually?, no - sooner than it was...

Cheers
