New Grip for MCX

I am not too fond of the grip on the MCX. The shape and angle feels odd to me, so I am thinking about a BCM grip. Anyone had any trouble installing one or have pictures of that setup? I read somewhere or saw a video that there are a couple springs to look out for when installing a new grip.

I installed the Mod3 grip from BCM and love it. There are pics in my build thread. Don't remember any springs or anything. Just one long bolt.
First suppressed SBR.. 556 or 300blk?

Just got around to installing the MOD 3 BCM grip and added a flip-to-side mount and a 3x magnifier, too. The new grip feels much better and I'm looking forward to taking it out and testing it with the new grip and magnifier

Springs and Detents!

When you remove the grip bolt you will release pressure on the safety spring and detent AND, IIRC, the rear receiver pin spring and detent.

Be careful and slowly remove the grip....otherwise parts will fly across the room or drop to the floor, never to be seen again

You can find a YouTube video showing how to disassemble an AR-pattern lower receiver.

Other than this, installing a new grip is super easy.

Good luck.

I went with a Magpul MOE-K grip. Super easy to install like any other AR.
