The trigger on my SIG 522 has a really long 1st stage,(as they all do i guess). It kinda feels a bit like a D/A revolver on the take up. Is there anything that can be done to take up the initial movement? It breaks real sweet when it gets there! Cheers. |

It's been a while since I shot my 522, but I do not recall the trigger having excessive take up. I will keep an eye out the next time I shoot it.

My 522 has a very smooth and what seems like an average pull. Take it apart and inspect the mechanism.
