Sig 716 Grip/stock

So I have a 716 with the crappy
Sig grip and I want to put a MIAD grip on it as it should've been in the first place. My question is does the 716 lower use the contour of an AR-15 or an AR-10?

I am also planning on switching out the crappy sig stock to an ACS or an UBR. Has anyone confirmed that the UBR buffer tube works with a 716? I know SIG uses the UBR on it precision model but I wasn't sure if that model uses the same buffer as the patrol.

Yeah, its AR-10 spec for the grip. they also sell the adapter for the ar-15 version for $4 if you accidentally bought the wrong one haha

Being that the buffer extension is Mil-spec, the UBR should fit fine?

just dont get a commercial one and you should be sailing smooth

So, you need to purchase the MIAD AR10/M110 grip for the folks at Magpul?

I thought about just doing a "switch" with the FDE furniture on my AR for the BLK on the SIG 716, gut I guess that's not going to work? Cheers

Thought I might chime in about the UBR. I have a Gen.2 716 and it came with the Sig brand grip and butt-stock. I had a UBR from another rifle that I wanted to put on there even though I think the Sig grip and stock are nice.

Anyhow, if you want to use a UBR on your 716 you must buy a different buffer and spring, as the UBRs' buffer tube is shorter than the factory 716 tube. If you would like more info on what I did to my 716 just holler.

I called Magpul and they told me that the MIAD 10/M110 has not went into production yet and also there is only one change and that is a different bottom cap for battery pack

I stuck a Hoague grip on mine that I took off an AR15. Fits perfect. Mine came with the MIAD which I didn't like as much as the hoague.Just personnel preference. Hope I spelled hoague right. I have the UBR on it and only had to buy a 2 1/2" buffer, still use the flat spring.

Question

Can someone confirm which ACS Stock part # I need for my new SIG 716? There is a mil-spec version and a commercial version. I want to remove the junk that's on it and make it the same as my older SIG 716 that came with Magpul's ACS stock and MIAD grip.

Thanks in advance!!

Are you sure? I called Magpul directly today and they told me it was the commercial version. And thanks for the quick reply!

OK, well my 716 in FDE will be here next Tuesday and luckily my dealer has an FDE ACS mil spec in stock. I already picked up the MIAD grip today. Really bummed SIG stopped using the MAGPUL parts....
