SIG 716 Patrol Gen 1 vs Gen 2?

Can anyone tell me if the 716 Patrol is made as a Gen 2? I bought a Patrol in November (Does not state Gen 2 on the label) and I see some threads about a Gen 2 version...but they could be talking about the DMR.

What are the differences between a Gen 1 and a Gen 2 anyway?

Gen 2 gets the lightweight Keymod Rail...DMR version has a full length rail, special muzzle device, and two stage trigger. But mainly the lighter weight rail.

In the 2017 Catalog it also seems to indicate that the flip up sights are now optional.

Looks like both the 2017 Patrol and DMR have a new upper too, to take the new lighter hand guard.

Sig seems to be late delivering the new G2s- but my G1 Patrol is still staying in my safe.

I will stay with the Quad Pic rail. Ergo Pic rail covers tame any sharp edges.

How about some pics of that 2017 G2. I don't think we've seen any in the wild.

I stopped by my lgs today, and they had a 716 Patrol Gen2 in stock, as well as a Gen 1 in FDE. I did not have them take it out of the case so I could handle them, but could see several differences in the Gen 2 vs. Gen 1 from the rack. The G2 has an updated gas block, similar to the newer style on the 516. It also has the more open, keymod forend that Sig is currently showing on their site. B5 stock, but had the Sig grip they've been using for a while now, not the style grip shown on Sig's site. The upper also had Sig 716-G2 engraved on the upper. Lower has the extended trigger guard. Neither the Gen 2 or Gen 1 FDE had sites mounted. I really wanted to whip out the credit card!!
