MCX extractor o-ring

Upon cleaning my new BCG tonight I discovered my extractor was missing it's O-ring. My old BCG had one and there should be one there as there is in the manual as well. Going to call customer service tomorrrow to see if the can send me a new extractor. Just giving everyone a heads up to double check theirs.

I'm not sure about the MCX but on the MPX sig quit putting them in from the factory. Are you having any extraction issues?

I too have discovered a missing extractor 0-ring in my post-recall bolt control group (GenII). I put the first 180 rounds through my MCX pistol yesterday and made the discovery when cleaning the bolt. I DID have several failures-to-extract but at the time thought that might just be break-in issues. Now I wonder.

The manual that came with the GenII BCG calls for, and shows, an o-ring on page 14. It states, "Push the extractor pin out and remove the extractor from the bolt. Do not remove the extractor o-ring, extractor spring or the extractor insert unless replacement is necessary." (emphasis added)

I called Sig and talked to Mike who said he'd get back to me. That was a few hours ago...................

Does anyone have the o-ring in their bolt? Is anyone else having intermittent extraction failures? Has anyone gotten an o-ring from Sig? Has anyone put an aftermarket o-ring in their bolt? If so, how did it run?

Thanks for any input.

Yeah, our extractor o-ring is present & accounted for. These little buggers can easily get away - Call SIG for a replacement...

Cheers

Goop pix! But I can assure you my 0-ring didn't get away. I noticed the absence of the 0-ring immediately because over the years I have come to expect one in every bolt I've had the pleasure to clean and lube. My Colts have never given me a problem and being gassers, they do get much dirtier faster. They all have the little donuts.

I didn't hear back from Mike yet but I'll order a couple anyway to have in case Sig doesn't come through. I'll take one out of a spare bolt while I wait. I'll be out again this Sunday to see that improves extraction.

Thanks again.

It's only pennies but Sig is sending one. I guess they are not just saying "the factory isn't putting them in".
