Geissele S3G in MCX

Has anyone tried a Geissele S3G in a MCX? Over the weekend, I took out my ALG ACT trigger and popped in the S3G. All of my triggers are one or two stage Geisseles. Never tried the S3G before. Everything shot fine (new BCG) but I'm not sure how I feel about the S3G yet. It's distinctly different from what I've become accustomed to where you pull and hit a wall before it fires. The SSA-E and ALG ACT I fired in the MCX were very predictable. With the S3G, it's pull-pull-fire. No wall or warning. Seems to suit the intended purpose of a SBR MCX. I think it may help me with rate of fire but at the expense of a little accuracy. Is this right?

What you are describing is a two stage trigger.
A 3 gun trigger is much different, it's meant to surprise you when it releases with a short pull and short reset.
The intentions are for first shot accuracy and quick follow up shots. The surprise prevents you from flinching when you pull the trigger on the first shot.
These triggers are intended for competition, and most would not recommend to casual shooters, long range shooting, or self defense. I personally love my 3g trigger but I would never hand that rifle to anyone unless I know 100% they know what they are doing.

The OP's description is exactly the way the S3G is designed to work. It's not a novice trigger in my opinion. My new S&W M&P 15 came with a trigger that was just like the S3G. The OEM trigger on the M&P was swapped out for a LaRue MBT which is a two stage. The MBTs were recently put back on sale for $99, if you are willing to wait for delivery.

Reminds me that I had a M&P15 VTAC II with the Geissele Super V trigger which I believe was just a heavier springed S3G so I've had experience with this trigger. I only got rid of that rifle due to a trade I couldn't refuse. The Larue MBT trigger feels very similar to the SSA/SSA-E triggers I have and I just wanted something quicker which the S3G seems to deliver.

I have Geisseles in all of my weapons that will accept them except the M&P. My MPX-C has the S3G in it. Due to the issues with my MCX (which arrived back from SIG today) and the Geissele warning, I've tried the MBTs because of their lower prices, intact warranty and similarity to the Geisseles.

I'm going to use the reduced gas setting on the MCX to protect the SSA. I've installed a roller cam pin to help lower friction and reduce wear on the upper.

I went to the ALG ACT trigger in my MCX for the same reasons. Decent trigger but just didn't feel right in the MCX. S3G is nicer. Just need to get reacclimated to the feel. The POF roller cam also feels like a good addition.
