MCX 300Blk SBR Suppress/Unsuppress & Super/Sub Range Time

More rifle range time fun today running 60 perfect rounds of SIG's 300Blk in 125g Supersonic and 220g Subsonic ammo. Was zeroing the MRO optic at 50yds with both loads to see what POI shifts she has running SIG's SRD762Ti-QD suppressor.

Here's 10rds each of 300Blk 220g subsonic ammo with the centered green colored holes shot unsuppressed, and the POI shifted white holes were suppressed.

Here's 5rds each suppressed & unsuppressed of supersonic 125g rounds showing vertically no POI shift at 50yds.

For perspective, here's a 100yd 5.56 target from this MCX suppressed with Surefire's SOCOM556-RC

And here's the same MCX 556 set up's target shot unsuppressed.

Interesting that the 300Blk subsonic's 50yd POI shift looks like a mirror image of the 100yd 556 suppressed POI - 300 shifts down & right, 556 shifts down & left...

Cheers

Good shooting. How is the difference in noise when you shoot subsonic and supersonic suppressed?

Thanks!! Yeah, suppressed supersonic 300 is very noticeable!! The muzzle blast isn't there, but you do hear a significant downrange crack.

Today was a 100yd indoor range where rifles are VERY loud. Shooting this 9" 300Blk with only SIG's stubby muzzle brake provides a huge flash - and a big boom too!! Unsuppressed, she sounds much like the guys next to me shooting M4 5.56s. But, this gal's flash really lights up the joint - like a big strobe flash going off!!

Suppressed, she's a ***** cat with NO flash, and on subsonic ammo only a small mechanical sound and the whisper of rushing air with each shot. FUN shooting!!

Cheers
