Help on SSG3000 Bolt

I recently got this rifle and there are some dark area on the bolt. I am curious does anyone know what that is and how to remove it? Any suggestion would be appreciated!

Probably light oil and fine steel wool will clean that up. Use triple OOO or finer and you should be good to go.

I would try Flitz first. It's a steel polish.
I think it's less abrasive than the 000 steel wool which I would use if the Flitz doesn't work.

I used OOOO steel wool and wasn't getting any result. I bought a bottle Lucas gun metal polish and my bolt is all shine again I think Flitz works too, they are pretty similar.
