What is the brand of your sling and where did you get it?

Magpul Single Point QD in FDE. Just got it and really like it. Got it on EvilBay, or perhaps from Amazon.

Very nice rifle man. How do you like the MS3 sling?

Nice!! Just got my MS3 QD yesterday. Its like it was made for this gun. I like that it can be used as a 1 or 2 point configuration. I'll probably add a qd sling loop or a Magpul RSA to the rail for the 2 point configuration. I like to use my sling for off hand shooting.

Picture of my baby.

The Vltor rail is nice.

Pros - Its lighter than I expected. Very easy to install. It can free float, or install to handguard cap. Its versatile. If I wanted to strip everything off of it, (grip, rails, bipod mount) it would make a nice lightweight rig for offhand shooting, and the handguard alone is a very comfortable fit, smooth surface no cheese grater here. Continous top rail is nice too. If I want to add a magnifier I wont need any kind of special mount, just move the optic forward.

Cons - Cost: Its a little pricey for what it is, but then what aftermarket rail isn't ( you can find it for under $200 without the add on rails if you don't need them). You may have to get a new mount for your optic because it raises the rail 1/2". This wasn't a problem for me, because I was able to remove the spacer from the QRP mount. I have a lower 1/3 cowitness. Very low. Initially out of the box, the way that it clamps together with spring tabs by the front sight post seems a little cheesy, but it has locked up tight no issues, and feels solid as a rock.

Overall I like it alot.

Awesome man, Thanks for the info! I am really liking it and pretty sure that's what I'm going to end up running with. I like it cause I don't have to knock off the front sight...I just haven't decided if I want to do that yet. Plus it's different than the standard quad rails and I "Think Different."

I run a Magpul MOE VFG on my 516 in the same place. It all depends if you prefer shooting with your support arm tucked. IMO having far foward gives you more extension with the support arm allowing me to pull it into my shoulder tighter.
