Well I have had my SRP m400 a couple months now. I love the thing. But I have the itch for a new handguard... Does anyone know which guard I can put on this with the gas block on the front as a direct drop in?
Anybody STRONGLY recommend the MAGPUL handguard? I like the price, but how functional is it for adding accesories? I would like to add my Fenix tk15 but can't find much on how to mount it at the 3:00 position.
The Magpul carbine length fits like a glove. Install is a snap.
I got my M400 on Black Friday... It's a nice piece. I've already added some touches to suit me. Waiting on a Battle Arms ambi safety selector and a Badger Ordinance ambi charge handle. I'm a lefty...
Is that the Walmart M400 that came with the scope? Is that the way the sling is supposed to go on? There were no instructions on how to install the sling. Have you figured out what the little loop of string is for? If yours is on right then mine is on backwards and the whole world is going to notice.. DOH!!!!
I am new to the AR platform, and I have the Sig M400 SRP. I don't know the difference between the standard and free floating barrel. I want to replace the hand guards and I am thinking of using the AR Tactical Quad Rail Handguard Mount. The problem is I don't know if this is the correct hand guard. In the reviews some with a M400 put them on his rifle and said they fit, but in earlier posts there sounds like there was an issue in installation. Can anyone tell me if these will work correctly and install the same way?

Your AR will have the standard barrel mount not free floating. A standard carbine length quadrail handguard should intall on your rifle with no problems.
Check the size on the quadrail you are looking at purchasing and make sure that it is for "Carbine Length".
I just replaced mine with these and it fit fine, perfect. Excellent quality and fast shipping. I really like them. Take a look at what I've done spending very little money with stuff from Ebay and Amazon and the stuff is high quality, not ****.

That is the hand guard I am looking at, so I guess I will pull the trigger on it. I am thinking about a GPS fore grip w/bipod. Just picked up a Matech rear sight and I am looking for a fold down front sight to go with it to mount on the gas block. Suggestions?

What, you've never heard of the nail polish mod or the crayola mod? That's for making the printing on your gun stand out and look awesome. SIG used some sort of white paint on my M400 at the factory. It appears to be roll printing with color added for effect.
I did the nail polish mod on my Glock 22 and it really looks good with all the other work I did to my Glock.
Crayola crayons work best on plastic magazines I've noticed because you can just use a paper towel to clean up the crayon. The nail polish remover will probably harm the plastic.
I am leaning toward the Magpul carbine length fore end. Up to three rails can be added to it. They are at the 2, 6 and 10 o'clock positions and can be of varying lengths.
I got that Quad Rail from Amazon for $20 something dollars that came out to $26 dollars shipped. It came with the covers and this is what it looks like on my evil black SIG Rifle.
Received my new Quad Rail (same as above)yesterday, fits and looks great. I did trim some of the rail covers to fit around the screws better, no big deal. Could have spent a lot more, but why?
Did you read the reviews on the Amazon Ad page for quad rail? There is a ****** bag that claims it is for a free float barrel but he got it to work. I replied to him and called him a ****** bag. I wonder how many people read his review and decided not to buy that quad rail costing the seller customers. I've noticed a lot of reviews on different products that are misleading or all out lies. Perhaps a tactic by competitors or anti gun leftists.
I got the Troy Quad-rail, with a Troy Vertical Grip and Magpul MBUS sights. I have since added an EO Tech 412 Holo sight, a Fenix TK15 light with angled mount and pressure switch, 4 Magpul PMAGs, a Tactical Link Battery Assist Lever and a Convertible Single/Double QD Sling. Oh, and I got a green tube laser also. Boy is this fun!!!
Divewrx - How about a picture of your gun. I am looking at some the Troy and Daniel Defense quad rails. Is the Troy quad rail oval or round in cross section?
Thanks!
I have a question, I just got an m400 SRP, and I think I want to go with the Magpul MOE handguard to save some money for optics. Is it the mid-length handguard that fits the SRP?? Thanks.
Which DD rails fit the M400? I'm looking at the "AR15 Lite Rail™ 10.0, Mid-length Extended".
